So, you want to commission a painting?

Awesome! I love creating one of a kind pieces to make your home more colorful and unique. Art is an incredibly personal experience, and I am honored that you’re considering commissioning your own custom piece from me. My commission process is very easy and no pressure.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Use the form below to contact me with your initial inquiry.

  2. We will connect over a video chat (or in-person if possible) to discuss what you have in mind, the space you plan to display your art, how you want it to feel, if any prior paintings of mine might be used as reference.

  3. I will send you a quote for the agreed size and scope of the work, timeline, and shipping or delivery cost.

  4. Upon agreement, I’ll begin the piece. I’ll keep you informed of the estimated timeline from start to finish.

  5. Payment is due upon completion and final approval of the finished work, prior to shipping. Your invoice will include taxes, shipping or local delivery fees and must be paid prior to shipping or delivery.

  6. If you end up not giving final approval, the painting will enter my own personal collection to keep, or to be displayed or sold elsewhere. No payment is made until you give the final approval. Here’s why:

Art is a personal investment. Sometimes we see a work and fall deeply in love. Sometimes, we just don’t connect. I am happy to create art and my first priority is making sure it is going to a home that loves it and really wants it. That is why I choose to do commissions from this no-obligation mindset.

Things to consider when making your inquiry:

Size: Where do you intend to display your art? Are you seeking a large statement piece? Part of a gallery wall? Measuring your space prior to inquiring will help streamline communications.

Location: Think about the windows and where the sun comes into your home. You do not want to display your painting in a space that gets full direct sunlight all day or a large part of the day. Diffused or indirect sunlight is fine, as all pieces are finished with a protective varnish, but direct sunlight could diminish the piece over time.

Colors: Do you have color preference? What do you connect with? What is the decor like in your space? What kind of lighting will be in this space?

Mood: How do you want the art to feel? Joyful? Cheery? Feminine? Earthy? Moody? Dark? Bright?

Reference: Do you have a reference painting or photograph you would like me to work from? I do not copy - each piece is an original and I will not attempt to copy another artist’s work. If you’re drawn to my art, we’ll discuss what elements you connect with!
