How would you describe your style?

Intimate, candid, fun-loving, emotional and artistic...I have a background in theater, and have an eye for the small details as well as the big picture. This balance gives my portfolio a unique look that reflects artistry and honesty. I do not fabricate moments for photo opportunities. My style is to step back, let you do your thing and get those little glimpses, smiles and interactions that happen during our time together - the little things that distinctly tell the story of who you are and the people you love.

When is it best to book my wedding/newborn/senior photography?

Weddings - typically anywhere from 6-18 months in advance, but I have booked them as late as 2-4 months from the date if still available. I take a limited number of weddings per year, so please inquire about availability as soon as you are interested!

Newborns - can be booked as soon as you're comfortable doing so. We'll schedule your session according to your due date, and then finalize the date once your baby arrives, as we know that can happen at any time!

Seniors - I begin booking senior sessions after the first of the year for the coming spring. I'm currently booking photographing Class of 2017 through October, and will open again for book Class of 2018 in January. Don't procrastinate!

How does the booking process work?

Very quick and easy! Here are the steps we take:

1) Initial inquiry You contact me once you've looked at my galleries and want to work with me!

2) Yay! Let's do this! Once you've decided to book me as your photographer, then you'll receive an online contract and invoice for your deposit. You are scheduled to work with me once the contract is signed and a non-refundable deposit (25% for weddings - 50% for newborns/families/portraits) is received.

3) Almost there! Final payment is due one month prior to the wedding event date, or one week prior to any and all portrait or family life shoots. All payments are processed online and you will receive an invoice one week before your final payment is due.

I am able to accept payments in full at any time once your contract is signed. If you'd like to make a payment, please let me know and I will issue an online invoice. I can also set up a payment plan to make this investment easier for you.

Do you issue print credits or gift certificates?

Yes! Print credits make an excellent gift, and can be used towards any product available through the final image gallery - prints, canvases or albums! If you'd like to give a print credit, please contact me for details. I will mail you a beautiful gift certificate detailing the gift, along with a pretty little envelope for gifting.

Can we give you a list of photos we would like for you to take?

We will work together starting with your first inquiry to me, and in the weeks before your wedding or session, to discuss and plan the aspects of your photos that are most important to you.

For weddings, together we'll create an approved timeline of the day, which I will follow to ensure the day runs smoothly from start to finish. With the exception of family portraits and certain groups of family and friends that will be listed out, I will photograph your wedding discreetly and candidly, without a list, to achieve the most authentic representation of your day.

Having to follow a list of required photos takes away from your day being experienced and photographed as it naturally unfolds. Often, the sweet moments you see in my portfolio are unscripted and unplanned, unique to each wedding, family or person. Every client is different, and that is how I approach my work as your photographer.

When will my photos be ready?

Wedding photos will be prepared in an online gallery around 6-8 weeks unless otherwise communicated. Portraits and family life sessions are typically 2-3 weeks. I will post some sneak peeks to Facebook and Instagram as I edit, so be sure to follow both!

Can we share our photos online?

I hope you do! The online gallery that I send to you is optimized for sharing with your loved ones, and it's very easy to navigate and browse your images. You can share the entire gallery or one image at a time, through all social media outlets and email. Anyone may purchase prints through the gallery at any time. It is very user-friendly!

Do we get rights to our photos?

I highly recommend ordering prints through your online gallery - it is an incredibly simple process, quick delivery, and top-notch quality. Drugstore and big box print labs simply do not compare in regards to color, paper, and print quality.

All packages include a digital download pin for your gallery, giving you access to all of your images as well as a personal printing rights release.

We want to make sure our awesome vendors see your photos of their handiwork. Can we give them photos to use on their website and social media?

I will gladly work directly with your vendors to ensure photos of their work are properly shared and tagged across social platforms! I provide business cards with my contact information that you can give them when you have your final meetings, or you can direct them here to my contact page, and I will work with them on image usage and licensing. While it is a kind thought to want to give them image files yourself, all vendor image sharing must be done through me.

Do you photograph babies and families?

I sure do! I adore photographing my families with a candid, authentic feel. And I really love photographing my past wedding clients as their families grow! Anniversaries, adoptions, new pets, babies, new homes - I love it all and would be honored to continue working with you for years to come.

What does "day-in-the-life session" mean?

Wikipedia defines lifestyle photography as "a kind of photography which mainly aims to capture portrait/people in situations, real-life events or milestones in an artistic manner and the art of the everyday. The primary goal is to tell stories about people's life or to inspire people in different times. Thus, it covers multidisciplinary types of photography together."

This is the style that I shoot in. I photograph the everyday, the relationships, the interpersonal nuances, the little things that make you who you are. I photograph you in your home or on a family adventure, having fun together, in a way that tells your individual or family story. I will do a few mildly posed photos if you request them, however, they'll fit the relaxed, casual style of the rest of the photos.

Do you travel? What are your travel fees?

I love photographing at a variety of places throughout New England. Over the course of a year I usually end up at a farm, in the mountains, along the shoreline, at estates, and even your backyard! Travel fees typically reflect driving mileage over 50 miles from zip code 06111 or 02332. In some cases, an overnight accommodation fee will be included in the travel fee if your event takes place more than 100 miles from 06111 or 02332 and contracted time goes later than 11:00pm. I am also able to travel to worldwide wedding destinations. Paris in June? Antigua in January? Yes, please!
