I’m so glad you’re here!
I’m Shannon, a small-town Connecticut photographer, artist, and writer, joyfully serving families and small businesses all over southern New England.
My work has evolved and changed over the years, but my driving purpose remains the same - to run a creative business, live a happy life enjoying my family, inspire others to do more of what they love, and create something that is meaningful and lasting.
My style is to photograph honest moments full of personality and emotion. My clients want more than just a pretty picture. They know that a photograph is more than just a photograph. It’s a glimpse into our lives right now, how we love each other, and how we stay connected through generations.
10 THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME
I wear my heart on my sleeve. I probably overshare a lot. It’s just who I am.
I re-watch my favorite shows almost yearly. I prefer my favorites to watching new stuff. My regular rotation includes Parks and Rec, The Office, Grey’s, The Mindy Project, Parenthood and 30 Rock. I need belly laughs and crying.
I drink a lot of coffee. Probably too much. Yes, definitely too much.
I swear a lot, which I chalk up to being a passionate person. Something like that! I try to keep it out of my blog, but ugh, this mouth.
I’m a Broadway musical nerrrrd and I love annoying my family with busting out in showtunes.
I don’t read a lot, and always feels bad about it. I start so many books. The only time I really read a lot, start to finish, is on vacation.
I need to take a vacation.
I’m a night owl. Everyone told me that would change once I had kids and had to get up early every morning. It didn’t. Mornings are hard. (and probably why I drink too much coffee)
I’m a music fiend. I listen to almost anything and everything. My parents raised me on The Beatles, Bob Marley, James Brown, Led Zeppelin and all the rock of the 60s and 70s you could imagine. I’m a child of the late 80s, all the 90s and early 00s, which is just so. much. great. music. And I’ve developed a love for bluegrass and folk and ugh, I just really love music. It’s everything.
One of my personal goals is to grow old into one of those cool, eccentric crazy ladies. I relate to Moana’s grandmother something fierce.

“What is a legacy? It’s planting seeds in a garden you don’t get to see.”
Hamilton: An American Musical
In the end, all we have is stories and images to pass on to our children and grandchildren. Stories of who we are, how we lived and what makes our families truly special. The best gift we can give is saving these stories, through words and images, and create heirlooms that will be treasured long after we’ve gone.
You’re My Inspiration
I love my kids so much, they will read this someday and maybe roll their eyes and be like “Mooooooom”, but in all seriousness, I want to be my best for them and to give them an amazing family life, and show them that they can do something they really love in life, they don’t have to have all the answers, and more than anything else, they are loved.
